Looking Back on 2015

As we begin a new year at FleishmanHillard, we wanted to take a moment to look back on the last twelve months, to see what we have achieved, what lessons we have learned, and to highlight our most outstanding moment of the year.

We are thrilled with what was yet another stellar year at FleishmanHillard. 2015 was filled with both challenges and successes, all of which have afforded the company and its staff members’ opportunities to develop and implement class-leading work.

From coordinating a major 360-degree activation which saw the launch of Microsoft Windows 10, to landing new business across various portfolios, it was indeed a year of growth, both internally and for our clients.

We were awarded PRISA PRISM’s Best Large-Sized Agency for the second year running and in addition to that, we won the Pan African Campaign of the Year Award for Barclays Africa’s Proper Report and took home seven more awards in various categories and sectors.

When it came down to picking just one highlight from all the magic that happened in 2015, it was indeed a difficult task.

My standout moment in 2015 was the day we granted 20 students, who have grown up in adverse living conditions, bursaries to complete a 3-year undergraduate degree at the Maharishi Institute in Johannesburg. I believe firmly that education is the only sustainable way to break the poverty cycle and bring about meaningful change within impoverished communities. Having John Saunders, our Global President and CEO, in attendance at the formal handover and seeing his reaction to the tangible benefit of the initiative, further highlighted that we at FleishmanHillard have the power to go beyond our call of duty.

2015 was most certainly one of the most eventful years yet. We are excited to see what the future holds for FleishmanHillard in 2016 – it’s going to be another phenomenal year! More to come…
