PRISA celebrated the 19th PRISM Awards on Sunday 17 April 2016, in Johannesburg. The Awards recognise excellence in the South African Public Relations industry and aim to highlight industry changes and the adaptability of agencies in the country.

Pan African Campaign of the Year, an overarching PRISM Award, focused on the execution of a high-caliber PR campaign across the continent, was for the second year running, won by FleishmanHillard (FH).

Last year, PRISA Awarded FleishmanHillard Pan African Campaign of the Year for their Barclays Africa Group Limited campaign, Prosper. Barclays Africa tasked FleishmanHillard to develop a communication programme to support the launch of its first ever pan-African brand campaign in 11 of its African markets. Having worked extremely hard to solidify our network of affiliates across the continent, we are able to provide services in 17 African markets, thus making it possible to do work every day in Africa and reach audiences across our boarders.

This year, FleishmanHillard won Pan African Campaign of the year for Discovery Networks first-ever African presenter search.

In June 2015, we announced the launch of the TLC Next Great Presenter (TLC NGP) competition aimed to uncover a hidden talent and TLC Entertainment host, broaden awareness of the channel and position TLC as a brand which is committed to its African audience.

We were tasked to create mass awareness of the TLC NGP search to drive quality entries for the competition across the continent. Through this campaign, we were also tasked to redefine Africa as a key market for parent company, Discovery Networks.

For the first time ever, the global company had set out to execute a presenter search across Africa, which meant FH had to establish a new approach and best practices for executing a campaign of this scale. Read more about our Pan African Campaign Here.
